Utility Payments

There are a number of different ways that you can pay your utility bill:

  • At the Town Office during regular hours, payments can be made via
    • cash,
    • cheque,
    • money order, or
    • debit.
  • You can also pay through your financial institution
    • at the branch,
    • through telephone banking, or
    • online via online bill-pay.
  • Pre-Authorized Utility Payment Plan (UPP).
    • If signed up for UPPs the withdrawal from your bank will take place on the 15th day of the month (or following business day) following your bi-monthly bill for residential customers. (e.g. January – February bill will be mailed or emailed around February 25th and payment will be automatically withdrawn on March 15th).
    • Residential customers also have the option to spread payments out to monthly payments through the UPP, where half the payment will be withdrawn the first month after the bi-monthly bill (i.e March 15th) and the second half will be withdrawn the next month (i.e. April 15th).
    • Non-residential customers signed up for UPPs will have the payment withdrawn on the 25th day of the month (or following business day) following your monthly bill.
  • E-Transfer to payments@claresholm.ca

When paying through your financial institution or via E-Transfer, it is imperative that you use or include your utility account number to ensure the payment is applied to the appropriate utility account.

To sign up for UPPs fill out the application and EFT authorization forms below and email or drop off to the Town Office. Please note there is a different agreement for Residential (bi-monthly billing) vs Non-Residential (monthly billing). The EFT Authorization form is the same for both.
